Outgrown is a mixed media collage exploring transformation, identity, and the pieces of ourselves we carry forward — and leave behind.
Built from recycled magazine pages and punk-inspired details, this piece combines vintage imagery, layered textures, and unexpected materials to create a surreal portrait of reinvention. The fragmented face reflects the process of becoming something new while still carrying traces of where we came from.
Like many of my works, Outgrown begins with materials that already have a history. Through collage, discarded pieces are reassembled into something entirely new — a reminder that growth is not about erasing the past, but reshaping it.
Outgrown was exhibited as part of Small Art, Big Impact at the Westfield Memorial Library, a group exhibition curated by the Westfield Art Association.
Original mixed media collage on canvas. One-of-a-kind artwork.
