The Value of Creative Community

One of the things I’m most grateful for lately is being part of a community that genuinely values the arts.

This September, I’ll have the opportunity to step into the role of teacher for an evening at Art Cafe in Westfield, leading an Adult Craft Night and sharing one of the creative techniques I love most: decoupage. I spend so much of my time creating alone in my studio, so there’s something special about the idea of gathering around a table, making things with our hands, and sharing that creative energy with other people.

I’m grateful to live and create in a community that makes space for artists—not just to show their work, but to connect, teach, learn, and create together. Even if it's just for one night, I get to teach what I love. And that feels pretty special.
